"Our pasture raised chickens are actually raised outside on pasture. The chicks are brooded indoors until they are old enough to go outside. They are moved out to pasture inside large movable structures for their safety from predators and the environment. The structures are moved at least daily so the chickens always have a clean environment, new grass to scratch, and bugs to eat. Those patio plants at the restaurant aren't just decoration. We pick our own edible flowers, tomatillos, ground cherries, chiles, cucumbers, tomatoes, and herbs straight from those beds. Chances are high the pansy on your pupusa was picked less than an hour before!

Kari, one of the co-owners, grows a variety of produce for the restaurant. Some of the things we get from her are smoked peppers and chiles, squash, pumpkins, apples, raspberries, kale, and cabbage.

You may see this lovely couple at the Farmer's Market. They sell us wonderfully sweet corn grown from their farm.
